Promises Kept

Since taking office, I've been hard at work supporting and advancing President Trump’s Make America Great Again agenda.

Fighting To Put America and Oklahoma First

In the Halls of Congress, I'm fighting to protect Oklahoma values and pushing for common-sense solutions to:

Delivering Results That Move The Needle

So often, politicians make promises on the campaign trail and fail to deliver in Washington.

Each day, I'm fighting to secure real results and deliver for the people of Oklahoma. Here are some of the major promises I've kept in Congress:

I am a proud cosponsor of H.J.Res.12, a proposal to amend the U.S. Constitution to limit the number of terms that a Member of Congress may serve.  I believe that the government will function most effectively when Congress returns to a body of citizen-legislators, rather than lifetime politicians.

I am Oklahoma proud – if a balanced budget is good for the Oklahoma Constitution, it is necessary for the U.S. Constitution. Over my career in Congress, I have cosponsored balanced budget amendments, authored federal budgets that tackle run-away deficit spending, and recently voted for H.J. Res. 139, which would amend the Constitution to require Congress to balance the federal budget. Our national debt is a threat to our national security and to the future of our children – I believe we must rein in government spending to reverse our government’s current unsustainable financial course.

President Trump inherited the worst border crisis in American history and, in under a year, reduced border crossings to historic lows. I am proud to have voted for historic funding and investment for our border security in the One Big Beautiful Bill, which helped provide the Trump administration with the resources they need to keep our border secure and the American people safe. I authored legislation included in the One Big Beautiful Bill, the WIRED Act, based on Oklahoma’s successful policy taxing wire transfers sent out of the country to fund our border security. I have also cosponsored many pieces of legislation to codify President Trump’s border policies including the Remain in Mexico Act, which would require aliens who are not clearly admissible to return to Mexico while awaiting their immigration proceedings, rather than being released into the United States interior with no accountability, as was done by the Biden administration.

In Congress, I am fighting Democrat obstructionists who want to do our President harm and take away all that he has accomplished in his first term. I also stood with the President by voting against the Democrats’ resolution to overturn his national emergency order to build the wall on our southern border (H.J.Res. 46).

I am a proud supporter of the 2nd Amendment. During my time in Congress, I have been resolute in resisting Washington Democrat’s attempts to infringe on the rights of law-abiding Americans. I have consistently cosponsored the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, along with legislation to roll back burdensome National Fire Arms (NFA) Act regulation and fees on suppressors, short barreled rifles, and short barreled shot guns, including the SHORT Act and the Hearing Protection Act.

The value of life and liberty have been imprinted on the national conscience since America’s founding. When our Founding Fathers declared independence, they acknowledged the inalienable rights of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” As a Christian, I have always defended the sanctity of life because I believe that every person is created in the image of God. I am a proud cosponsor of pro-life legislation such as the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, along with legislation to reverse the Biden-era expansion of chemical abortionI will always champion the strong pro-life protections guaranteed by the state of Oklahoma and advocate for Congressional policy that protects the lives of the unborn.

I am proud to cosponsor the SAVE America Act. Only American citizens should vote in American elections. The SAVE America Act, along with related legislation, has passed the House of Representatives multiple times with my support. This legislation would simply ensure that an individual provides proof of citizenship when registering to vote and photo identification when at the polls. These commonsense reforms are supported by the vast majority of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. If elected to the Senate, I will continue to fight to ensure that the SAVE America Act is enacted into law.

Under Joe Biden the American people suffered under historic levels of inflation due to the failed policies and runaway spending of the Biden administration. In just one year, President Trump has lowered core inflation by about 70 percent. In Congress, I have remained committed to providing more economic opportunity and lower costs for all Americans. I worked with President Trump and my House Republican colleagues to ensure that we not only extended President Trump’s historic tax cuts, but found new areas to cut taxes for seniors, hardworking Americans, and families. I also authored tax cuts which President Trump signed into law to enhance private sector investment in factories and American manufacturing while bringing business back to the United States.

Sports provide a great environment for children to learn life lessons, get exercise, and make friends as they grow up. Parents should not have to worry about radical gender ideology when they are driving their kids to a practice or game. Similarly, collegiate and adult athletes who have trained their whole lives for competition should not have to worry about the playing field being unfair or unsafe. That is why I am a proud cosponsor of the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025, which passed the House of Representatives last year. This legislation would prohibit federal funding for any school that sponsors athletic programs which permit biological males to compete in sports designated for women or girls.

Americans who answer the call to serve in our armed forces, deserve our utmost appreciation and support. During my time in Congress, I have cosponsored dozens of pieces of legislation to support our veterans. Over my legislative career, many of these bills have been signed into law, including the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act and the Henrietta Lacks Enhancing Cancer Research Act. In the Senate, I will continue to work with the Trump administration to ensure that America’s veterans receive the greatest care and opportunity America can afford them.

I believe that our freedom is God given – not government granted. During my time as chairman of the largest conservative caucus in the House of Representatives, I was proud to advocate for policies that defend religious institutions from government discrimination, preserve conscience rights for health care providers, protect parental rights to raise our children in accordance with our beliefs, and prohibit federal funding for abortion and gender experimentation on children.

I voted against the Democrats so-called For the People Act (H.R.1) which would interject more Washington cronyism between voters and the ballot box, restrict their first amendment rights, and limit our states’ authority to administer their own electoral process.  In addition, I cosponsored the Free Speech Fairness Act (H.R.949) to provide protections for tax-exempt organizations exercising free speech in the electoral process.

I am working in the Small Business committee to make sure that businesses have the capital access they need to start and grow companies for American workers, and I am pushing back against the Left’s harmful policies that would inhibit free-enterprise and encourage government dependency.

I have worked diligently in Congress to fight back against the Washington machine and bring common-sense reforms to the federal government.  For example, I cosponsored the No Budget, No Recess Act (H.R.1059) and the No Budget, No Pay Act (H.R.236) to ensure that members of Congress are incentivized to actually carry out their duty to pass a budget.

Part of the America First policy agenda is combatting the malign influence of the CCP within the United States. Last Congress, I introduced the Combatting Communist China Act, which would address U.S. supply chain dependence on China, prevent Chinese theft of intellectual property, and hold the Chinese government accountable for fentanyl trafficking. Recently, the House of Representatives passed my bill the PROTECT Our Kids Act, which would prohibit federal funding through the Department of Education for any school which continues to host a CCP influenced Confucius Classroom. I am also a proud cosponsor of the Protecting Our Farms and Homes from China Act, which would prevent CCP-affiliated individuals and corporations from buying up American farmland and residential property to protect our national security.

Every child deserves access to an education that provides them with the skills and knowledge they need to pursue their own American dream. That is why I am a passionate advocate for school choice. I am proud that my legislation, the Education and Workforce Freedom Act, was signed into law as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill. This legislation will expand use of tax-advantaged 529 accounts to include K-12 students in public, private, religious and home school. It also expands 529 qualified expenses to cover more of a student’s educational needs such as tutoring and curriculum, books and online resources, educational therapies for students with disabilities, fees for dual enrollment in college courses, and exams.

Law enforcement is a noble but inherently difficult and dangerous profession. Sadly, due to the radical Left’s “defund the police” rhetoric, the work of law enforcement has become politicized and deranged individuals have felt emboldened to harm the brave men and women who serve in law enforcement around the country. I will always support the police, sheriffs, and troopers across Oklahoma who keep our communities safe. That is why I am a proud cosponsor of the Protect and Serve Act. This legislation would create federal criminal penalties for assaulting a law enforcement officer, including life in prison for the murder or kidnapping of an officer.
